The sire of Talifax van ’t Roth is the big money earner Halifax van het Kluizebos, the Heartbreaker son with whom Lorenzo de Luca performed very well for years in the toughest 5* competitions and even once led the ranking of the best showjumpers in the world. Halifax won for instance the 5* GP of Rome, ranked 2^nd in the 5* GP of Windsor, 2^nd in the GCT/GCL 1m60 class in Shanghai, 3^rd in the World Cup class in Mechelen and so on.

Talifax is also gifted on dam’s side with top showjumping blood. His granddam, Livia (by Lord), is the foundation dam of the BWP lineage 59. Talifax is a half-brother to Calimero van ’t Roth, a Darco son who achieved numerous top-10 places in 1m55 to 1m60 classes in the four- and five-star circuit. In addition to Calimero van ‘t Roth, this outstanding lineage includes several performers such as Valdorai, Bijou Orai, Valencia, Jack van het Dennehof, Luna van het Dennehof and Eldorado van de Zeshoek.
